The President has a new Golden Piggy Bank for Members that do not have a nametag made. The price at each meeting is a quarter.
Stephanie went ahead and paid into it for the year, because she knows she is going to keep forgetting one. Members are encouraged to make and wear a nametag; they really do help everyone in the group to get to know you.
Membership dues are past due, Lisa will be contacting members that have not paid yet.
Casting for Recovery projects are due next month at the meeting, please do not forget to bring what you have made. This season it was a flower pendant of your choice. We do need 4 more.
Edna Perkins projects are also due at the next meeting, do not forget these. This can be a bracelet, necklace or earrings, some jewelry that you think would make delight someone on Mother’s Day. Show some love to veterans and their loved ones.
Bead Affair Notes:
The volunteer signup sheet went around the room; it will be available at the March meeting as well.
We would appreciate donations for door prizes, anything will do, beads you might not want, focal beads, tools, books, or pieces of jewelry.
Please bring some of the pieces that you have made this last year so they can be displayed on the group table, the fish that everyone loved to make, BITO projects, Amy Katz projects , group projects that we have worked on or anything you would like to show off. The Christmas tree will be displayed again, if we get enough ornaments to put up.
We are working with Gail to have a make-n-take project at our table.H
National Teacher update:
Leslee Furman sent a few pictures for the workshop that we may be working on. Your President is organizing the pictures and descriptions of the projects that we will choose from, she will be sending out an email to everyone in the group when she gets it completed. Please go over this carefully as we will be voting only by email for the projects that we are doing during the class. The class will be October 13th and 14th. The location has yet to be determined.
The new bead group challenge is to do something with the resin roses that were handed out during the last meeting. If you were not at the last meeting, and would like to consider doing the challenge, please come to the March meeting, we have extras for anyone who wants them. There is a short time frame on this challenge; they are due during the June meeting. This is our “Christmas in June” meeting and the ornament exchange will take place as well for those that would like to participate in that event. Panera located at 13410 West Maple, in the Baker’s shopping center.
