May 22, 2012 Meeting Minutes

Beady Bunch May 22nd Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order with 15 members and 3 guests present. Welcome Kim, Carla and Sue!

Old Business: Chris led us in a quick review of the Melanie Potter workshops. The consensus is that they were awesome!

Joni reported that she delivered the donated the Edna Perkins project items to her contact at the VA Hospital. Reminders to everyone that they can work on this project throughout the year and have one or several pieces ready to contribute next April.

New Business: Chris led a discussion on having a UFO night with no meeting, just a gathering to work on our own projects and have a more social night. The church is available the 2nd Thursday of the month. Discussion followed. Mary made a motion that we start in June and meet during the same hours, 6:30-9:00. Gail seconded it and the motion carried. Chris confirmed with the church.

Mary offered to have a daytime group meet at her house. She passed around a sign up sheet for those who are interested.

Julie reminded us that officer elections are coming up this fall and that it might be nice to have some new people take some offices. So, be thinking about becoming involved as an officer.

The June project is a dimensional embroidery bezel taught by Joan. She will be sending a supply list to be posted on the website soon. The June meeting will have a change of date due to a conflict at the church. It will be held Thursday June 14th.

The meeting was adjourned followed by Show and Tell and a resin project taught by Silkie. Thanks for a fun project!
