November 24, 2009 Meeting Minutes

The meeting opened with old business.

Joni was very happy to report the Anita (webmaster) helped her get rid of the “Rude Russians.” Our website no longer has a place for comments.

Joni told the club about a woman from Romania who posted Joni’s poinsettia earrings on the woman’s site as her work. Joni notified the woman and within hours a lot of the Romanian woman’s products for sale, were gone. You never know when you will get scammed. Even half way around the world!!

Barb reported on the library. She showed the club the projects sheets she is making. Barb reminded people to submit references to the collection. Barb reported what she had researched on the bus trip to Milwaukee. After much discussion the matter was tabled until January. So far six people are committed to going on the bus trip. They are Lisa, Julie, Joan, Barb, Charlene, and Diane.

Nancy Meinhardt sent a contract to the club to be signed for our 2010 workshop. The contract reviewed the items we agreed to in the past. If you have not voted on the two projects you would like to do, please go to the web site and review the choices.

Come to the January meeting and put in your vote. That meeting will be the last time you can vote on a project.

Virginia said she contacted Charlene Zweerink from Lincoln about the possibility of a workshop. She has not heard back from Charlene. Lisa will ask Julie if she can contact Charlene.

Lisa is doing the project tonight. It is a very cute snowman Christmas ornament.

Show and tell proceeded.
