August 26th, 2014

The meeting was called to order with 15 members present. Lisa gave the Treasurer’s report noting dues received by new members.

There was no new business.

Old business: Bead Retreat will be held Sept. 19th-21st. Several people have signed up, but there are plenty of spots open for last minute attendees. Please contact Chris or Lisa if you wish to attend for all or even part of the time. Sheri offered to bring her chili. Others will be asked to contribute to the food and snacks, so be thinking about what you want to bring.

Chris suggested that we bring in a national teacher for workshops in 2015. Bring your suggestions of what instructors you would like to bring in. Cindy mentioned several instructors from Colorado who would be good, and they are closer so expenses might not be as high as those from California etc.

Joan reported on the Lincoln bead bazaar that will be held Oct 18th at 3901 N 27th St. She believes the building is called the Center for people in need.

The September UFO night will be on the 11th. The meeting will be on Sept. 23rd. The monthly project will be centered around doing items for the Edna Perkins project. Bring your own bead stash, memory wire, elastic cord, findings etc. or whatever you want to work on. Be ready to make assorted jewelry pieces for donation to this great cause.

Show and Tell was followed by a candy earring project taught by Chris. Thanks Chris!
