The meeting was called to order with 13 members present. Old Business: The officers met earlier this month and discussed proposed revisions to the bylaws. Mary explained some of their thoughts and why the bylaws should be revised. Members were each given a copy and we will discuss and vote on the changes at the July meeting. We did a new drawing from a list of those members who taught a project in 2012. The winner was Joan. She received a $25 gift card to Beadsetc. Thank you to all of you who offered your time and talents to teach a project. The Charlene from 5z’s workshop will be held on Saturday Sept. 7th from 1:00-5:00. The cost is $25 per student plus a small fee (approx $20) for the beads. The beads are to be purchased from Charlene. Mary explained the Chis/Mary challenge for any members who missed it at the May meeting. Mary has provided the beads and Chris will provide the prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The finished projects will be due at the September meeting and will be judged by the members present at that meeting. Discussion of the newly formed Bead Bazaar committee. Charlene P. will head the committee and volunteers are Mary H, Lisa D, and Joan D will act as an adviser. Charlene noted that she will set up a meeting for the committee and contact someone from the Lincoln group with the hope of coordinating efforts. Reminder, that there will be no UFO night in July. New Business: Chris opened a discussion of a possible bead retreat in the fall. Mary presented 2 ideas and sent around a signup sheet to get a general consensus. Possibilities are a one day retreat or a weekend. A few locations were discussed. Mary will do some research and report later. Show and Tell was held followed by a beaded name tag project by Mary. The finished name tags are due at the September meeting. If you don’t wear your name tag at a meeting, you will be assessed a fine of a quarter which will go to the treasury. The July project will be a continuation of the Name Tag Project. (Note: Please correct your project list. The July Ring project that was to be presented by Joni Stinson was post-poned to February, 2014.) Submitted by: Denise Stahl, Secretary
At our May meeting we will be blessed with two projects and two instructors.

This is the necklace that our member, Mary, will be presenting at the July meeting. I apologize for the “blurry” quality of the photo….but you get the idea. Mary did not photograph her sample and sold it….so this is a thumbnail from the Beadwork site.
The meeting was called to order with 15 members and 1 guest present. Welcome Sue!
Chris gave the Treasurer’s report in Lisa’s absence.
Business: Discussion of the upcoming Melanie Potter workshops. A few people are dropping out, so the back up list will fill in the spots. It was suggested that Lisa email out a list of who is taking each class, so that everyone can be reminded of who is in each class.
Edna Perkins project. Joni brought the bead supply so that members could select beads for their pieces. Please check your stash for any items that you would like to donate to the bead supply. Your completed pieces will be delivered by Joni for Mother’s day, so they need to be turned in at the April meeting at the latest. It’s ok to bring them to the March meeting as well.
Monthly Projects: Eileen brought samples of the Chain Maille project that we will be doing at the March meeting. A supply/tool list will be posted to the web site prior to the meeting.
Monthly dues of $18 are due.
Discussion of the April 14th Bead Bazaar. Joan reported that the volunteer list is full. Gail suggested that if you are manning the demonstration table, you could bring completed projects from our previous monthly meetings. That way prospective members can see what kind of things that we do. Flyers and business cards will be available to hand out to those who show interest in coming to our meetings.
The meeting was adjourned followed by Show and Tell and a Chevron Stitch necklace project.

Our March, 2012 project will be taught by our member, Eileen. She has provided the photo of the project and a list of the materials you will need to bring to the meeting.
Here is the list of supplies for the March project as provided by Eileen.

Old Business: Chris gave us a recap of the Diane Fitzgerald workshops and everyone shared the pieces that they created. It is a consensus that a good time was had by all.
New Business: Melanie Potter will be our next teacher for the April 28 and 29 workshops. Members voted on a group of projects with the winners being “Petalicious cuff bracelet” and “Floral Motif necklace”. These classes have a 15-person limit and many members have already reserved their spot. If you wish to attend, just send a $25 check per class to Lisa Dryden. Your check will be returned when you show up for class. You can find more details at http://www.melaniepotter.com. Melanie will also be bringing a trunk show.
Chris reminded us that the $18 membership dues are due in January. There is no meeting in December. In January, bring a UFO to work on and a snack to share with the group.
We are still in need of instructors for a few monthly projects, so bring your ideas to the next meeting!
The meeting was adjourned, followed by Show and Tell.
